Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Joanie K LLC, publishing as DeepSea Studios ("we"), handles information in the DeepSea — Live Wallpaper Android application.
Information we handle
DeepSea does not require an account. Aquarium settings, weather preferences, selected-photo references and premium access status are stored on your device. We do not operate an analytics or user-data collection server for the App.
Optional Weather Director
If you enable Weather Director and enter a ZIP code, DeepSea sends that ZIP code to Open-Meteo’s geocoding service and sends derived approximate coordinates to its weather forecast service over HTTPS. The app uses the response to adjust aquarium weather effects and caches location and weather information locally. These requests also expose your IP address to Open-Meteo, which states that it may retain service logs containing IP addresses and geographical coordinates for up to 90 days. See Open-Meteo’s terms and privacy information. The app does not request GPS location permission.
Photos you choose
If you select a photo using Android’s Photo Picker, DeepSea accesses that photo to display it in your wallpaper. Photo processing occurs on your device; DeepSea does not upload your photo content. The app saves a reference to the selected photo so it can be displayed later, but does not save a separate permanent copy of the photo.
Premium purchases
Optional premium features use Google Play Billing. Google Play handles checkout and payment information. DeepSea receives purchase-product and ownership status, and uses purchase tokens as needed to acknowledge purchases and restore access. The app does not receive your payment card details or billing address. A premium ownership flag is stored on the device. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Advertising and analytics
DeepSea does not display advertising and does not use the Android advertising ID, advertising analytics, or developer-operated crash reporting or analytics services. Google Play and Android system services may process information under their own policies when providing billing and platform functions.
Storage, backup and deletion
Settings, cached weather data, weather location and selected-photo references are retained locally until changed, reset, or the app’s storage is cleared. Depending on your device settings, Android system backup or device transfer may back up some of these preferences to your Google account; the app’s premium-entitlement file is excluded from that backup. You can clear DeepSea’s local data through Android Settings or uninstall the App. Third-party records, such as Open-Meteo service logs and Google Play transactions, are subject to those providers’ retention policies.
Data recipients and security
Weather-related ZIP codes and approximate coordinates are transmitted to Open-Meteo when Weather Director is used. Google Play processes purchase-related information to provide billing services. Connections made by DeepSea to these services use HTTPS. We do not sell personal information. Internet services and device backups are also subject to the applicable provider’s security practices.
Children’s privacy
DeepSea is a general-audience live wallpaper and does not knowingly request names, contact details, or other personal information from children. If you have a privacy concern involving a child, contact us using the email below.
Your questions and requests
To ask about information handled by DeepSea or request assistance with deletion, email [email protected]. We can help explain how to remove locally stored app data; we cannot directly delete records maintained by Google Play or Open-Meteo.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy if the app or its data practices change. We will publish the updated policy here with a new effective date.
